'People are intimidated' - the reasons 'unstoppable force' Arsenal have become the side to defeat.

The proof is unmistakable why Arsenal stand as many people's favorites to secure the Premier League this season.

Examine their results against Fulham and Crystal Palace compared to those equivalent matches last season.

The Gunners have beaten all of them this time around, but dropped 10 points across those games as they fell away in the title race last season.

Defensive Dominance

Arsenal's defensive solidity is a primary factor why they are seeming ready to finally fulfil their title ambition.

They stand first for shutouts (6), shots let in (3), opposition efforts (72), dangerous chances allowed (19) and anticipated concessions (5.3).

The central defensive pairing of Gabriel and William Saliba is potentially the best in the league, with Arsenal maintaining a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Dead-Ball Excellence

Their effectiveness from free kicks is well known, but competing clubs still find it difficult to contain the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals originating from these situations.

"Arsenal can do a bit of everything now. The whole team has a daunting aura. People are just afraid of them and it is wonderful to see."

Championship Credentials

What is especially remarkable about Arsenal's start to the campaign is they have also played Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United away from home and Manchester City in their own stadium - and are still four points clear at the top.

While they continue triumphing, their long-standing opponents are struggling. This marks the initial occasion at this point of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The scrutiny was on manager Mikel Arteta at the start, having spent around £250m on eight summer signings in quest of that elusive first title since 2004.

But the spending has so far paid off in style, with his side second top scorers in the league and having the most resilient defense, despite multiple injuries.

  • Unbreached games in each of their last three Premier League games
  • Nearly 6.5 hours without conceding a goal
  • Only a trio of goals in 12 games across every tournament

Former players and analysts have labeled Arteta's men as a "powerhouse, looking difficult to stop" with the whole club now operating with confidence and resolve.
